- China, Water Splash Festival, April
- he New Year's day for the Thai Tribe in Ching Hung, China,
is April. People celebrate splash the water each other. There
are also boat races, fire works, Dragon dances are performed.

Taiwan, New Years Festival, February
- People in Taipei celebrate the New Year's day on January
15, Luna calender, which is middle February by today's solar
calendar. There are more than 100 floats displayed by lighted
lanterns and a 100 m of dragon dances. People from different
areas performs folk dances.

- Korea, Paekche Cultural Festival, October
- Korean fan dance is a well known famous folk dance of Korea.
At the city of Buyeo, the festival for the people who pledged
their loyalty to the Paekche. Folk dances, races, and art contest
are held.
- Philippines, Mascara Festival, October
- Negros Island is known as the production of sugar canes.
People in Bacolodo city hold a festival like "Smile when
you eat sugar canes!" Citizen people wear masks and disguise
as carnivals. They dance the street with disco musics.

- Thailand, Sonklan, April
- People in Thailand cerebrate New Year's day on April 13.
People splash the water to Buddhist images and also people each
other. At Chiang Mai, Miss Chiang Mai contest is held. On the
main street, beautiful Chiang Mai girls on the giant white pigs
are paraded.
Thailand, Elephant Festival, November
- Surin is the town located on 420km North East of Bangkok.
The town is very closed to the Cambodia border. This area was
used to hunting elephants. At Today's elephant festival, at first,
people pray for Gods. Then lasso races and the races compare
the elephants strength are held. The climax is the elephants
parade which is the react of the Ayutaya dynasty of 14 to 18
century.
India, Camel Festival, November
- One week just before the last full moon in November is the
festival days for the peopl in Rajasthan state. They cerebrate
Camels at the sacred site in Pushkar. People come to this place
by one week walks with camels, cows, sheep. Many tents are build
on the desert and a camel market is opened. Ladies in vivid color
of sari, which is traditional costumes of India, sing songs and
camel races are held.
India, Festivals of Siva God
- At the city of Madras, most people are devout Hindu. On the
day of Siva God festival, a giant stature of the God is build
in the center of the city. Three lines are drawn on the forehead
of the stature. Devout Hindu people also write the lines same
way on their foreheads. People come to the God stature take their
children and pray for their good health.

Spain, Feria, April
- The city of Sevilla is the town of the opera "Carmen."
There are many beautiful black hair women like Carmen. On the
festival days, women decorate their hair with single flower and
wear gorgeous traditional costumes to go out. Every street in
the city becomes the dancing flamenco place. The days are also
come back the passion of Carmen.
- Germany, October Fest. September to October
- Munchen is the famous place as producing beer. October fest
is also called as Beer Festival. The origin of the festival goes
back to 1810 when the prince and the princess of Bayern married
and town people cerebrated this event. Today, huge tents are
build in the town where 2000 people enjoy to drink beer and sing
folk songs. On the main street, floats who carry beer barrels
and people parade.
- Italy, Regata Historica, September
- The water town "Venezia" is the well known as the
177 canals and major transpiration is gondolas. The festival
of Regatta starts at the main canal. The gorgeous gondola now
get through under the Rialto bridge which was stage play of "merchant
in Venezia". There are many men who ware medieval costumes
on the gondolas. They are heading to the goal point 7km away.

- Switzerland, Sylvester Klause, January
- There is a town of Urnash two hours away by train from Zurich.
Over there people cerebrate New Year by Klause festival. Adults
wear two kinds of masks. One is beautiful Klause. Another is
nature Klauses who ware tree leaves on the whole bodies. The
nature Klauses visit the village houses to threat children and
women. Children in the festival wear traditional costumes with
big bells.
- Switzerland, Alpine Festival, June to July
- Once in tree year, this festival is held. Players from many
areas come to compete the chorus and solo yodel, accordions,
and Alpine horns. Players also wave and trough away their flags.
The yodel echoes in the Alpine mountains.
- Sweden, Lucia Festival, December
- The winter of Sweden is dark. At eleven o'clock in the morning,
weak Sun rises starts and three o'clock of afternoon, soon the
Sun sets. People in this country look forward the spring that
brings the bright Sun light. With their hope for the Spring,
they have festival of Lucia. Lucia means sun light and goddess
of light.

- Italy, Corpus Christi, June
- The town of Genzano hosts a flower festival on Corpus Christi.
Boys and girls gather flowers at the suburb of the town. Then
they make the flower carpet as long as 310m. The theme of the
design of the carpet is assigned by every year. When the festival
is finished, those flowers must be removed. Town people walk
on the flower carpet.
England, Shakespeare's Birthday Ceremony, April
- Stratford-on-Avon is known as the birth place of Wiiliams
Shakespeare. Every April 23, a festival is held as the commemoration
of his birth. Town people ware the costumes on Shakespeare's
era and make a procession on the street.
Morocco, Marrakesh Festival, September
- When you stand up on the edge of Spain, you can see Morocco,
the continental Africa. Marrakesh is a vivid town where street
performers gather all over the country. One week in middle September
is the festival days. At the ruin of El Badi Palace, folk groups
of various area in Morocco participate the festival show their
sings and songs. The festival goes on until midnight every day.

- Austria, The Grand Ball, February
- When Christmas is over, now Europe becomes the season of
balls. The Grand Ball of Vienna still remains the flourish of
the dynasty. The Ball is hosted by the president of Austria.
Sovereigns and novels of various countries are invited to the
Ball. At 10:30 pm, the Ball is started. Men ware black tie and
women ware white dresses with gold clowns. They dance by the
Viennese waltz until mid-night.
Italy, Carnival of Venezia, February
- It is just like the town of venezia goes back to the Renaissance
era. Numbers of men and women disguise with medieval costumes
and masks who gather to San Marco. People used to fast after
the carnival. This is why people eat, drink, sing and song during
the carnival.
France, Le Quatorze Juillet, July 14
- It was July 14, 1789, the French revolution against the monarchy
was succeed. The people wave flags with blue, white, and red,
which are today's national flags. With singing a song of "La
Marseille", the people fight against the monarchy. Today
we can see the parade of the armed forces on Champs-Elysees Avenuedes.
